LORD SIGNS MARKETING DEAL WITH TERRAMIX of COSTA RICA; OPENS NEW AUTOmotive AFTERMARKET FACILITY IN MICHIGAN
Lord Corp., Cary, NC, has signed a 10-year agreement with Terramix S.A., a San Jose, Costa Rica-based maker of rubber gaskets for pipes, in which Terramix will develop the global market for MetalJacket-enhanced pipe products designed for the transmission of potable and waste water. In addition to providing MetalJacket corrosion control products, Lord Corp. share in marketing development activities, including advertising, sales and tech support.
According to Mark Weih, global market manager for MetalJacket, the agreement will enable the two companies to market anti-corrosion coatings for products used in potable and waste water transmission systems. Terramix will form a new company to handle aspects related to the new accord.
Additionally, Lord has opened a new 19,000-sq.ft. automotive aftermarket facility in Wixom, MI that houses a formulation and testing lab, a training classroom and space for application training.
