With production of 140 million kilograms annually, Warsaw, Poland-based Sniezka Paints and Varnishes Plant S.A. is the leading paint and coatings producer in Poland. Its primary focus is the architectural market, which is 78.8% of its sales revenue, with construction chemicals adding another 13.5%; sales within Poland make up 67.9% of its sales, followed by Hungary at 17.3% and Ukraine at 8.6%.
Sniezka has seven manufacturing facilities – four in Poland and one each in Ukraine, Belarus and Hungary. Its major brands include Magnat, Śnieżka, Poli-Farbe, Vidaron, Rafil and Foveo-Tech.
Śnieżka had a solid year in 2022, with sales holding steady at $193 million (PLN 791.7 million).
“Against the backdrop of the serious challenges we have faced, I consider the Śnieżka Group’s results for 2022 to be very good,” said Piotr Mikrut, president of the Management Board, in announcing the company’s 2022 results. “Throughout the group, we achieved comparable revenues despite a noticeable decline in consumer sentiment. The strengthening of the market position on all key markets and the unexpectedly good results of Śnieżka-Ukraina are particularly pleasing. However, like many industries, we felt the effects of the rapid increase in inflation and other unfavorable external factors on our financial and business results.”
Śnieżka has completed its largest investment, a new logistics center that improves its logistics processes which should help the company improve production while reducing costs.
In sustainability news, Śnieżka was ranked 17th in the overall classification in fifth in the industry classification in Poland’s Responsible Companies Ranking as a result of the implementation of the “Śnieżka Sustainable Development Strategy 2023+”.
