Jackie Jordan is one of those fortunate people who turned a childhood interest into a lifelong profession. Her passion for color and interior design evolved into a successful career that has spanned more than two decades applying her experience and expertise in the color and design arena.
Jordan joined Sherwin-Williams in 1985 as a sales associate. Since that time, she has held positions as color and design consultant with the Color & Design Studio in Cleveland; homebuilder account executive for the west area; and architectural and national account executive for various districts and areas in the company’s southwestern division. Most recently, Jordan was designer marketing manager for the southwestern division. Her considerable color knowledge and rich interior design background lend credibility and value to her current role as director of color marketing.
Foremost in this role, Jordan is responsible for developing and presenting the latest color trends and resources for do-it-yourself consumers and trade professionals. Additionally, Jordan oversees the development of the company’s color collateral, tools and systems to ensure that Sherwin-Williams meets the color service needs of all customers.
Jordan holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in interior design from Kent State University and is an active member and chairholder of the Color Marketing Group (CMG); she has been a member of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) for 13 years; and a member of the International Interior Design Association (IIDA) for more than a decade. She has given numerous presentations on color and design trends to trade groups including homebuilders, architects and designers. Jordan and her husband reside in the Dallas, Texas area.
Kathy Andersson serves as manager of Color and Marketing for the Product Finishes division of Sherwin-Williams.
Named to this position in mid 2006, Andersson is responsible for the division’s global color, design and marketing efforts including color trend research and analysis as well as societal and lifestyle trend monitoring for focused market segments consisting of furniture, kitchen cabinets, electronics, wood building products and general finishes for various substrates. Andersson coordinates her efforts with Sherwin-Williams’ Color Marketing and Design Group (architectural paint group) located in Cleveland, Ohio. This role encompasses presenting the latest color and technological developments to designers around the world as they select coatings that enhance the brand identity of the products they bring to market. Andersson and her team of skilled stylists develops, manufactures, and promotes various color tools for five global focus market segments.
Andersson began her career in 1992 as a color stylist for PPG Industries, Inc. From 1992-2001 she served as a stylist for PPG’s wood coatings division located in Greensboro, NC. Andersson worked from 2001 through 2005 as a Senior Global Color Stylist for the Industrial Coatings Division, based in Springdale, PA and Strongsville, OH, where she developed strategic color marketing tools in support of various markets including consumer electronics, appliances, and office furniture among others.
Andersson is a chairholder and active member of The Color Marketing Group (CMG) and she received her B.S. degree in Interior Design from East Carolina University where she currently resides on the Board of Advisors for the department of Human Ecology. Andersson holds a split concentration in Art History and Business.
Andersson and her family currently reside in her native city, Greensboro, NC.
