In the latest edition of the report "Responsible business in Poland 2023. Good practices," the Śnieżka Group once again confirmed its aspirations to be a leader in the field of corporate social responsibility and sustainable development. Of the five reported initiatives from various areas, all of them were distinguished by the authors of the report.
On April 6, 2024, the 22nd anniversary edition of the Responsible Business in Poland report was published. The largest and longest-operating organization dealing with CSR and ESG in Poland - the Responsible Business Forum - is responsible for its development. The main part of the publication is a summary of CSR and sustainable development activities carried out by companies in the previous year. This year's edition honored all five initiatives submitted by the Śnieżka Group:
• Śnieżka Sustainable Development Strategy 2023+: "Green matters"
• Initiatives addressed to employees: Safe+ and Śnieżka Academy
• Social programs: Overwhelm. Entrepreneurship differently and The world in colors
“Among all our initiatives implemented in 2023, it is difficult to single out one that would be the most important for the Śnieżka Group,” said Aleksandra Małozieć, director of corporate communications and ESG. “However, the implementation of the ‘Śnieżka Sustainable Development Strategy 2023+’ is of particular importance to us. This document defines in a holistic way both the current and future directions of our activities.”
The "Green Matters" strategy is the group's response to the growing awareness and expectations of consumers and business partners. As part of it, a total of 21 strategic goals and 71 operational goals were set for activities in ESG areas.
The latest edition of the report also highlights the company's own program for employees, Bezpieczni+ . This is a project whose aim is to increase safety in workplaces through practical training in first aid and the use of AED defibrillators. Classes are conducted in groups under the supervision of professional paramedics and take into account the specificity of work in various conditions.
Another initiative that gained recognition in the eyes of reviewers from the Responsible Business Forum is the Śnieżka Academy development program addressed to the group's employees. Thanks to this, leaders can share knowledge and experience with other employees, which helps build a coherent, more integrated organizational culture.
For the second year in a row, the authors of the report also awarded the World in Colors. This is a nationwide program focusing on the modernization of child psychiatry departments throughout Poland and the renovation of other hospital departments locally.
“All such activities are an indispensable part of our business. Thanks to such a comprehensive approach, we not only achieve specific strategic goals, but also provide support to local societies. I believe that in this way we also inspire other enterprises to follow this path,” Małozieć added.
