Huntsman Corporation has announced that its Polyurethanes Division has released an updated product stewardship toolkit, which is designed to help customers safely handle and manage the company’s products.
The streamlined 2015-2016 Huntsman Polyurethanes-Americas: Safe Handling and Use Toolkit contains 47 documents (product stewardship manuals, guidelines and checklists), 44 of which are new or significantly updated compared to the original toolkit from 2006. In response to customer demand, the revised toolkit contains additional materials on polyols and additives, as well as information in Spanish.
“Huntsman Polyurethanes has long been committed to continual improvement in product stewardship and customer service,” said Steve Burns, Vice President Americas, Huntsman Polyurethanes. “One aspect of that commitment is ensuring that our valued customers have the tools and knowledge to safely handle the isocyanates and polyols that they purchase from us.”
The toolkit is divided into four sections:
· General guidelines for the safe handling of MDI, polyols and catalysts
· Loading/offloading, storage and use and disposal of isocyanates and polyols
· Respiratory protection program
· Special topics/applications
