Marci Alvord, senior category manager for the HOMAX brand at PPG Industries’ architectural coatings office in Bellingham, Washington, has presented a PPG Industries Foundation check to Squalicum High School Chemistry Teacher Jocelyn Roger to fund science equipment for students. The $1,000 Innovative Classroom Grant will support the purchase of three LabQuest stations that enable teachers to create innovative, hands-on labs.
“I’m really glad PPG can provide grants like this to help teachers get students excited about technology and science,” Alvord said. “PPG is strongly committed to supporting the communities where it operates, especially by backing programs that help prepare young people for future careers in advanced manufacturing.”
