Regulations for the shipment of dangerous goods (DG) by air are debated on a daily basis, and the changing requirements continue to confound even seasoned shippers. Regulators continue to propose new rules, and more airlines are imposing restrictions for hazardous materials beyond regulatory requirements.
To simplify DG air shipping compliance for its customers, Labelmaster has entered into an agreement with the International Air Transport Association (IATA) to distribute IATA regulatory publications. As an IATA platinum sales agent, Labelmaster will offer a wide array of IATA products, including the IATA 2016 Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR) manual that is the global reference for shipping dangerous goods by air, including safely shipping lithium batteries.
“We now can provide our customers IATA’s full range of regulatory insight and thought leadership,” said Alan Schoen, president of Labelmaster. “The new distribution agreement with IATA ensures our customers will have access to the broadest tools and resources available to transport and ship dangerous goods safely by air.”
