Gold Supplier Award for AkzoNobel Aerospace Coatings
AkzoNobel Aerospace Coatings has been accredited as a Gold Supplier by the Czech Republic’s largest aerospace manufacturer AERO Vodochody a.s. AERO Vodochody works closely with leading aerospace manufacturers on a range of international projects. These include the Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation (S-76C helicopter), Alenia Aeronautica (C-27J Spartan center wing box), Latecoere (Embraer 170/190 subassemblies), Saab (JAS-39 Gripen pylons), Spirit Aerosystems (B767 fixed leading edge kits) and EADS (A320/340 subassemblies), among others. The company has its own paint shop, which is continuously updated to provide top quality painting facilities for corporate and business jets.
“So far we are the only company given this recognition, which makes us extremely proud and sets us the challenge of retaining this status in the years to come,” said Robert Rijnsburger, international technical sales manager, AkzoNobel Aerospace Coatings.
“Our business with Aero Vodochdoy has grown over the last five years thanks to the close working relationship and extensive on-site technical support service we have developed with the help of our local representative Jaromir Herrmann of Aerocopter, added Rijnsburger. “Due to the business growth of Aero Vodochody, we have simultaneously grown our business in the Czech Republic. In April 2009 AERO Vodochody will complete delivery of the 250th Sikorsky S-76 helicopter—all of these have been coated with AkzoNobel products.”
