Air Products has introduced four new ZetaSperse pigment dispersing additives for waterborne and ink applications. Meeting customer requests for problem-solving additives with high performance and problematic pigments, these new ZetaSperse dispersing additives have been designed to combat viscosity build, color drift, flocculation and other challenges faced by dispersion formulators. These new low VOC and APE-free additives are optimized for use in a variety of applications and offer dispersion stability. ZetaSperse 2500 additive offers robust dispersion viscosity stability, and works will with problematic pigments, such as metal salt reds and other organic pigment types prone to dispersion rheology challenges. ZetaSperse 3100 is an easy-to-use dispersant for carbon black pigments. It offers broad utility, robust stability and compatibility across a wide range of carbon black pigment grades. ZetaSperse 3400 is designed for the particular challenges of dispersing quinacridone, perylene and similar pigment chemistries. This product offers the correct combination of pigment affinity and stabilization to achieve high-quality dispersions with optimal color development, superior color and viscosity stability, and letdown compatibility, according to the company. ZetaSperse 3700 is designed for dispersing DPP, azo and phthalocyanine pigment chemistries. This product also offers high-quality dispersions with optimal color development, superior color and viscosity stability, and letdown compatibility.
