Herbert M. (Chip) Nowak has been
named business director for DuPont
Herberts Automotive Systems, based
in Troy, MI. Nowak, who will oversee
worldwide automotive coatings needs
of two major OEM accounts, succeeds
Anthony A. Coletta, who has transferred
to Shanghai to serve as vice
president-Asia Pacific region for the
DuPont Herberts Automotive
Systems unit of DuPont Performance
Coatings.
Nowak, who joined the company in
1979, had been national DuPont sales
manager for heavy-duty truck original
equipment and OEM fleet finishes
for the past three years.
Coletta is now responsible for
business systems to support growth
in supplying automotive coatings
throughout the Asia-Pacific region,
especially in China, where the company
recently upped its stake in its
joint venture with Red Lion in
Beijing and acquired complete control
of another joint venture with Red
Lion in Changchun.
Coletta joined DuPont in 1981 as a
project engineer. In 1992, he was
named vice president-marketing for
DuPont Kansai Automotive Coatings.
From 1997 to 2001 he was operations
manager and assistant plant manager
for DuPont’s Mount Clemens, MI
automotive coatings plant.:
