Halox, a division of ICL Performance Products LP, announced David Tarjan, former chemist with Sherwin-Williams’ protective and marine coatings business, has been appointed project chemist at Halox.
Tarjan’s experience encompasses five years of laboratory work developing new products, working within various solvent and water-based coating systems, ensuring product quality and performance, and maintaining supplier relationships. At Halox, he will play an integral role within the technical service department as he assists with the research and development of new products, provides technical service support to customers, and ensures products comply with all quality, environmental, ISO and laboratory safety standards.
Tarjan joins Halox with a Bachelor of Chemistry degree from Northeastern Illinois University. He started his career in the paint and coatings industry while working as the quality control technician at Valspar in Wheeling, Ill. He also played a role in Sherwin Williams’ acquisition of Leigh Paint in the United Kingdom while serving as a global liaison.
