● Honda of America Mfg. presented DuPont Kansai Automotive Coatings (DKAC) its 2002 Production
Support Award, recognizing DuPont’s continuous production support of Honda’s electrocoat program.
DuPont supplies the majority of topcoats for Honda manufacturing operations in North
America. The company converted one of Honda’s electrocoat tanks to a lead-free product and will
convert two additional e-coat tanks to a lead-free product by the end of the year, according to company
officials.
The company was also recognized for exceeding Honda’s expectations from both a plant and laboratory
function.
